I grew up spending time on a farm in the Italian countryside, and later in a suburban neighbourhood in Canada. In both circumstances, I spent my time collecting grass stains and making friends with the neighbour’s dog.

I’m an illustrator and writer with a BA in History — purely because I enjoyed learning the stories of our past.

With my art and writing, I hope to continue in the work of my younger self: drawing picture books about siblings and talking tigers exploring jungles together. The details may vary.

I like to illustrate our natural world, and I love animals with personality. My favourite stories have characters who charm you—even when they’re grumpy—and an ending that leaves you feeling warm and cozy. My style is bright, with colourful palettes and I love to play with line work and subtle texture.

I specialize in kidlit, because there is nothing I find more magical and fun than a well crafted story that can capture the imagination of young people.
