Week 1 of the Alphabet Superset Challenge

For my 26 weeks, I’ll be attempting to create 26 draft mock-middle grade book covers. I’ll be basing them off fairy tales, and remixing the fairy tale with a genre (fantasy, contemporary, mystery, etc). For week 1, I decided to focus on the “apple.” as it holds a pretty prominent role in a few well known fairy tales.
The Fairy tale: Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
The genre: Dystopian
The Mock Title: The Hacker Diaries of @SNOW.W
The Mock Synopsis:
Blanche Winters hates getting her hands dirty—literally! She hates pruning, and wedding, mucking and raking, picking and packing—everything she’s forced to do as the daughter of Harry & Louise Winters, owners of Winter’s Orchards.
Blanche would much rather be surfing the web—breaking through all those pesky firewalls keeping the internet private and apart from everyone except those who pay top dollar for the privilege. But that won’t stop Blanche. As @SNOW.W, Blanch is easily one of the best anonymous web surfers of the land. And she has to be if she doesn’t want the cops to bust down her door and arrest her.
But soon there’s no time for web-surfing. A sickness has been plaguing the orchards of the land, poisoning fields, rotting leaves and apples from the trees. And Winter’s Orchards seems to be next! Without their next harvest, they’ll be forced to sell the orchard to Queen Corp—a fast growing conglomerate of farm land and orchards, privatizing seeds and controlling all produce prices. Blanch can’t let that happen!
Turning to the web for answers, she hacks into a secret—one so terrible, Queen Corp will do anything to keep Blance silent. Running away to the city, Blanche joins forces with the D.WRVS, an underground group of hackers bent on stopping Queen Corp before they buy and control all the land. But will they be able to stop Queen Corp and find the mysterious Golden Apple Cure in time to save the orchards? Or will Queen Corp put a stop to @SNOW.W’s hacking days forever?
